Sailing Event

Date:

Monday 5 January 2026 to Saturday 10 January 2026 between 0900hrs and 1900hrs.

Details:

Mariners are advised of a sailing event occurring in the waters off McCrae and Rosebud, during the times and dates noted above. A Set Aside area has been established adjacent to McCrae Yacht Club for vessel launching. The area extends approximately 250m from shore at the following approximate locations (WGS84): 1. 38°20.780'S, 144°55.370'E 3. 38°20.550'S, 144°55.630'E 2. 38°20.680'S, 144°55.250'E 4. 38°20.670'S, 144°55.650'E The launch area will be marked by buoys and patrolled by event marshals. Mariners are prohibited from entering the set aside area and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the event.

Relevant Law:

The set aside area has been established under the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2025. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event officials and Parks Victoria officers.
