Patterson River Entrance - Maintenance Dredging

Date:

Sunday 11 January until Wednesday 14 January 2026

Details:

Mariners are advised of maintenance dredging works to remove a sandbar extending from the southern groyne at the entrance of Patterson River at approximate location 38˚04.421’S, 145˚07.174’E (WGS84). Dredging works will be carried out by a cutter suction dredge along the navigation channel. On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the works will be marked as per IALA standards. Mariners are advised to navigate within the designated speed limit and exercise caution within the vicinity of the dredging works.
