Lonsdale Bay - Swim Event

Date:

Saturday 7 February 2026 between 1300hrs and 1530hrs (back up date Sunday 8 February 2026)

Details:

Mariners are advised of the Rip Swim open water swim event between Point Nepean and Point Lonsdale front beach during the times nominated above.

The swim is occurring between Point Nepean and Point Lonsdale front beach, and a set aside exists from the boundary of Commercial Port waters to Point Lonsdale front beach bounded by the following approximate locations (WGS84):

1. 38° 17.5830'S 144° 37.5500'E 2. 38° 17.1330'S 144° 36.9170'E

Mariners are prohibited from entering the set aside area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the declared set aside area where swimmers will be.

Relevant Law:

The set aside area has been established under the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2025. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event officials and Parks Victoria officers.
