Vessel Salvage and Barge Movements

Friday 5 June to Tuesday 9 June

Details:

Mariners are advised of increased vessel traffic and barge movements to aid in the recovery of a sunken vessel in the vicinity of Sorrento boat ramp.
Approximate location: 38°20.033’S, 144°44.567′E (WGS84).
 
Once the vessel has been recovered, the barge will transit from the Sorrento boat ramp to commercial port waters.
 
The salvage will be conducted via barge and work vessels. Any hazards arising from the works will be lit to IALA standards
 
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of Sorrento boat ramp and during the salvage operation.
