Victorian Notice to Mariners

Mariners are advised of works occurring beneath the San Remo Bridge, at approximate location: 38°31.100’S, 145°21.850’E (WGS84). The works will be undertaken by SRG Global via a scaffold system and pontoons secured from the bridge structure. Initial works will begin on the date noted above and will only impact the first three spans on the Newhaven side of the bridge (spans# 17, 18 and 19). The works will then continue in several stages, and the spans available for navigation beneath the bridge will change as the works progress. At least one of the centre three spans will remain open throughout the works as noted by traffic management signed on the bridge itself. An exclusion zone established under the Marine Safety Act 2010 will be in force for the times that navigation is impacted throughout the works. The details of exclusion zones, the spans open for navigation and the air draft available will be communicated by further notice. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of San Remo Bridge.
