Mordialloc Creek Partial Closure and Vessel Traffic Management for Rail Bridge Works

Saturday 15 August 2026 from 0700hrs to 1900hrs.

Details:

Mariners are advised of works undertaken by Southern Program Alliance in the vicinity of Mordialloc Creek Rail Bridge, at approximate location (WGS84):
38˚ 00.618’S, 145˚ 05.404’E. Public Vessel transit will remain available via the northern bridge spans during the works.

An Exclusion zone will be established around the works area, extending approximately 30m from the southern bank of Mordialloc Creek under the rail bridge. The exclusion zone will be monitored by on-water marshals and marked by lit buoys fitted with 1-2nm marine lanterns and floating barrier buoy lines as shown in map 1 below.

On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the works will be marked as per IALA standards.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the partial closures and vessel traffic management within Mordialloc Creek.
