Patterson River

Patterson River Entrance - Maintenance Dredging

Date:

Dredging vessel will arrive at Patterson River 27 August 2027 - Dredging works commence 31 August 2027

Details:

Mariners are advised of maintenance dredging works at the entrance of Patterson River at approximate location 38˚ 04.412’S, 145˚ 07.172’E (WGS84).
 
Dredging works will be carried out by a cutter suction dredge along the navigation channel between the Nepean Hwy bridge and the outer navigation marks. Dredged material will be deposited on the adjacent beach, south of the river entrance.
 
On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the works will be marked as per IALA standards.
 
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the dredging works. Only pass the dredge on the side displaying two black diamond day shapes, and only when safe to do so.
