Volunteering in parks is a great way to contribute to conserving Victoria’s special places. The many personal benefits of volunteering include learning more about plants and wildlife, gaining new skills, being in the outdoors, improving health and well being and meeting new friends. Time spent in nature also reduces stress and promotes physical wellbeing.

Change of Conditions

Nature being nature, sometimes conditions can change at short notice. It’s a good idea to check this page ahead of your visit for any updates.

  • Rye Pier (Local Port of Port Phillip, Rye Pier)

As part of the pier redevelopment project, Rye Pier is temporarily closed to visitors

We will seek to minimise impacts and inconveniences where possible and appreciate your patience as we deliver this critical and exciting project, however, people should be prepared for a disruption period of about six months from March 2022 until late Winter/early Spring 2022.
Alternative berthing, angling and pier walking opportunities will be available at nearby piers such as Rosebud, Dromana, Sorrento and Portsea.
