Deer control program within YNCA

Dear Stakeholders,

Parks Victoria are continuing deer control in Yellingbo Nature Conservation Area. This program recommencing on Tuesday 9^rd of Oct 2023.

Control is being undertaken by accredited and authorised contractors, Victorian Pest Animal Control (VPAC). These activities are done in accordance with an Authority to Control Wildlife permit issued by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.

Upcoming control nights are as follows, from 5pm to 7am:

· Tuesday 9^rd of Oct 2023 (into the early hours of Wednesday)

· Wednesday10 ^th of Oct 2023 (into the early hours of Thursday)

You may observe signage at gates indicating dates of the upcoming control program. A map of the control areas is attached for your reference,

While our contractors use authorised suppressors, deer legal rifles will still emit noise, which may be heard in the area.
