With a shared use trail running the 3.5km length of the park, access across the site will allow new recreation opportunities, access to nature, and opportunities to learn of the areas heritage. See and experience the history of this land, from orchards to paddocks, European and indigenous landscapes. Learn why the reserve exists in its form, and how the local community rallied around keeping their open space.

How to get there

ngarrak nakorang wilam park

Parking access can be found at Davy Lane Carpark or at the Nunawading Community Gardens at the western end of the reserve. Access and limited parking is available on local roads Terrara and Morack Roads.

When to go

Enjoy the shady areas through the heat of the day, and see the orchard remnants as the fruit trees produce fruit.

Accessibility

Visiting a park can be more of a challenge for people with disabilities, however in Victoria there are a wide range of facilities to help people of all abilities enjoy our wonderful parks around the state.

Assistance dogs are welcome in Parks Victoria parks and reserves. Entry requirements apply for parks and reserves that are usually dog prohibited, such as national parks.

The shared user trail is being built to Grade 2.1 specifications, which means its accessable to users with assisted wheelchairs.
