Davies Plain 4WD route upgrades
The remote Davies Plain in the Alpine National Park, north east of Omeo, offers a range of opportunities for those who love 4WDing and camping. The project will deliver a range of improvements across the area, including replacing and maintaining facilities and road and track maintenance.
High Country Iconic Campground upgrades
Popular campgrounds across parks in the Alpine region of Victoria will receive upgrades. These will include new toilets. At Talbotville, in addition to a new toilet, fire pits and picnic tables will also be installed.
Snowy River Iconic 4WD route upgrades
Located in East Gippsland, Snowy River National Park offers a variety of recreational opportunities for visitors, including sightseeing, walking, four-wheel driving, and camping. Sections of the Deddick Trail (McKillops Bowen Track), Bowen Track, and other tracks within the 4WD route will be improved.
Wonnangatta Iconic 4WD track upgrades
Nestled in the remote and picturesque Alpine National Park, Wonnangatta Valley offers a unique experience for 4-wheel drive enthusiasts and campers alike. Parks Victoria is upgrading the Wonnangatta Valley Track to improve safety and maintain access for 4WD visitors.
Angusvale Campground within the Mitchell River National Park in Gippsland is being upgraded to improve access and provide a better visitor experience for campers, hikers and paddlers to experience this special place.
Buchan Caves Reserve Flood and Fire Recovery
Parks Victoria and the Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLaWAC) are rebuilding visitor facilities at Buchan Caves Reserve, following major bushfire damage in summer 2019/2020.

Parks Victoria is reconstructing the campground and visitor facilities at Cape Conran following major bushfire damage in summer 2019/20.
Cape Conran Coastal Park Roofed Accommodation
The Black Summer bushfires of 2019-20 destroyed three cabins and all five wilderness retreats at Cape Conran Coastal Park. Parks Victoria is replacing and upgrading the lost accommodation to enhance visitors’ experiences of this gem on the Victorian coast.
Croajingolong Coastal Wilderness Experience
The Croajingolong Wilderness Walk is an existing 8-to-10 day wilderness walk between Cape Conran and Mallacoota in East Gippsland. The Croajingolong Coastal Wilderness Experience project aims to improve access to this special area for a wider range of people. A series of opportunities will offer more visitors the chance to experience and learn about the beauty, unique environment and Aboriginal culture of the area.

Parks Victoria is reconstructing damaged campgrounds and visitor facilities throughout Croajingolong National Park and around Mallacoota following major bushfire damage in summer 2019/20.

Parks Victoria is reconstructing the campground and visitor facilities at Cape Conran following major bushfire damage in summer 2019/20.
The campground at Peachtree Creek is being upgraded to provide a better experience for visitors, with improved amenities, road surfaces, signage, boat ramp and floating jetty.
Sealers Cove boardwalk rebuild
The popular Sealers Cove boardwalk in Wilsons Promontory National Park will be fully rebuilt and upgraded, reconnecting the cove’s golden sands to the Tidal River campground.
This $1.5 million project will restore the State Coal Mine drift car and for underground tours to reopen.
Wilsons Promontory National Park will become Victoria’s largest conservation sanctuary and have visitor experiences improved through the $23 million Wilsons Prom Revitalisation project.
The Yallock-Bulluk Access and Infrastructure Plan will increase opportunities for people to enjoy this spectacular area through improved access, upgrades, new facilities and better links between coastal towns. A key element of the plan is a 30-kilometre trail experience between the Punchbowl near San Remo and Cape Paterson.
