Hampton Pier – Major works

Details:

Mariners are advised of major reconstruction works to Hampton Pier, within

Sandringham Harbor at approximate location: 37°56.653'S, 144°59.786'E

(WGS84).

Two set-aside zones have been established around the works area which

will be marked with buoys at the following approximate locations (WGS84)

and as shown in the maps on the attachment.

Zone 1:

1. 37°56.689'S, 144°59.806'E 2. 37°56.681'S, 144°59.799'E

3. 37°56.679'S, 144°59.789'E 4. 37°56.617'S, 144°59.764'E

5. 37°56.601'S, 144°59.801'E 6. 37°56.645'S, 144°59.825'E

7. 37°56.681'S, 144°59.827'E

Zone 2:

A distance of 25 metres around vessels involved in the works when present

at or within 100 metres of zone 1.

On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from

the works will be marked as per IALA standards.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the

works and comply with set asides that are in place. No vessels are to enter

these zones.

Relevant Law:

The set aside has been established under Regulations 10 of the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015.Entry is prohibited to all persons and vessels excluding the individuals involved in the works and Parks Victoria officers.
