Campground C18 (Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park)

"C18" Campground has one access track that leads to several of the main camping sites. There is nine designated unpowered campsites. There is one centrally located toilet facility which is maintained on a weekly basis. There is one dune crossover trail providing beach access.

Ground shooting operations targeting feral goats

Feral goat control (ground shooting) will be undertaken in areas of the Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park and Lake Coleman Wildlife Reserve.

The Park will remain open to visitors during operations. 

Deer control (ground shooting) in Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park

Deer control (ground shooting) will be undertaken in the following areas of the Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park;  
 
·         Waddy Island, Barton Island and Crescent Island
·         Boole Poole Peninsula/Bunga Arm, Rigby Island – targeting Sambar deer.
 
The Park will remain open to visitors during operations.

Sand renourishment works

Sand nourishment works to improve bird breeding habitat will be occurring during mid July - early September 2024, in the Crescent Island area, Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park.  Please be aware of machinery in this area.
