Middle Brighton Marina is used privately by the Royal Brighton Yacht Club, although public berthing is available.
Visitors can also access the Middle Brighton Pier, a great space for visitors to explore, with unique views of Port Phillip Bay. The area is a popular base for a range of recreational activities.

Middle Brighton Breakwater is closed

The Middle Brighton Breakwater has been closed for public safety.  
There is a fence at the start of the breakwater preventing access.

The breakwater may collapse without warning.
Engineering assessments have determined the steel reinforcement of the concrete decking has failed and the concrete decking is not supported by the rock wall.
The area extends from the marina's hardstand entrance to the asphalt topped breakwater.
It is dangerous and structurally unsafe for walking and/or driving.
