Middle Brighton Pier is a great space for visitors to explore. Visitors can walk along the breakwater, with unique views of Port Phillip Bay. It is a popular base for a range of recreation, including yachting, fishing and swimming.

Unique to Brighton is the Icebergers swimming club who swim in the bay year round.

The area surrounding the pier is 5 knots.

The Pier is also located along the Bay Trail, one of Melbourne’s most well-used walking and cycling trails.
Jumping and diving off the pier and other structures is prohibited for public safety. There are shallow areas and often unexpected submerged objects
