Ocean Beach (Cape Conran Coastal Park)

Located in the Cape Conran Coastal Park, Ocean Beach is a stunning location to take in the rugged coastline and is a great day visitor area for people to enjoy the beautiful coastline that looks out in the South Pacific Ocean. Access to the beach is from the walking track that leads from the carpark which is located off the Pearl Point Track Rd. Approximately 4.5km for the Bemm River township. Ocean fishing is a popular activity or just enjoy the serenity by relaxing or walking along the beach. Keep a look out for whales. Common species of whale sighted include Southern Right Whale and Humpback Whale. Whales pass on their annual migration south to feed in Antarctic waters in October and November and then return during May to July on their northern migration to calve in tropical areas.
Camping is not permitted and no facilities are provided.
Visitor Tips:
There is no phone reception. Dogs must be on a lead at all times. Ticks are common in this area and visitors should take steps to avoid tick bite by wearing protective clothing and using insect repellent.
