Point Wilson (The Lakes National Park)

Point Wilson or Sperm Whale Head as it is also known is a small picnic area fringing the shores of Lake Victoria. At the old homestead site you will find a series of totems with information on them describing the significance of this place to the Gunaikurnai people. Please take the time to read them whilst you enjoy a scenic picnic, go for a swim or launch a canoe or kayak to explore further afield. The picnic ground provides a jetty, shelter, toilets, gas and wood fired BBQ's and picnic tables. Overnight berthing on jetty is permitted. Please bring your own drinking water, and take all rubbish home with you as bins are not provided.
