Lysterfield mountain bike trail closures

Following significant storm damage to mountain bike trails in October 2021, Parks Victoria has decided to close all Mountain Bike Trails.  The trails have been assessed to be in an ‘unsafe condition’ due to heavily degraded surface integrity, major drainage issues, tree hazards and areas of high soil instability.

This decision has not been made lightly but is necessary in order to maintain visitor safety. Parks Victoria is working hard with its partners and volunteers to open the trails as soon as possible.  This will occur in three stages, with the first stage targeted for completion and trails opened by Tuesday 7 December.
