Stronachs Camping Area (Baw Baw National Park)

Stronachs is a small camping area situated along the Australian Alps Walking Track. This site has a rich European cultural history and is set beneath a majestic towering forest. Stronachs is located within the Thomson Special Water Supply Catchment Area and therefore no solid fuel fires are permitted and camping at any one site is restricted to one night.

Mt Erica Road - Traffic Hazard

A traffic hazard has been identified on the left-hand side of Mt Erica Road when traveling uphill towards Mt Erica Carpark. Please proceed with caution and be prepared to give way to oncoming traffic.

Ground shooting operations targeting deer

Control operations (ground shooting) targeting deer are undertaken in this area. The Park will remain open to visitors during operations.

Advice to visitors

Please be advised that recent weather events have resulted in fallen trees and limbs in certain areas of the park. Operational staff will conduct safety assessments of tracks as conditions permit.
