Beach wheelchairs are available in a number of Victoria’s coastal parks, enabling mobility impaired visitors to explore many spectacular park beaches and walking trails that have sandy surfaces.

There is a range of beach wheelchair models available to meet the needs of adults and children with varying abilities. The chairs are free to use but please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Wilsons Promontory National Park beach wheelchair

Beach wheelchairs are available at the following park locations:

  • Wilsons Promontory National Park Information Centre on 03 8427 2122 (9.00 am to 4.00 pm).
  • Coolart Historic Area Park Office on (03) 8427 2242.
  • Point Nepean National Park Information Centre on (03) 8427 2099.

The availability of beach wheelchair models varies according to park location. For further information on chair models and sizes available, please check the park webpage under accessibility.

Two beach wheelchairs are available for visitor use at Port Campbell beach. These chairs are owned and managed by the Port Campbell Surf Lifesaving Club. Visit the Corangamite Shire website for further information and chair bookings.
