The picnic area is grass and flat. There is a concrete floored picnic pavilion. The tables in the pavilion are the standard fixed side seating type with 9 inches of overhang at either end. The main barbecue area is on top of a rise in the park, approximately 10 meters higher than the surrounding area. The electric barbecues have a 95-centimeter working height, a large bench area of the same height and water. The barbecues are operated with a push button which requires finger dexterity. The taps are a twist type tape with a fluted handle. Grip is required to operate the taps. The whole area is on a level concrete platform. There is a toilet block in this area but it has no disabled facilities. The nearest accessible toilet facilities are at the other end of the park at the Caretakers Cottage picnic area.
Picnic Area and Toilet Block (general - not accessible)

It is an unusual design as it is free standing, and the only side support is the side grab bar. The flush buttons are located on the top of the cistern. They are a light action but would require finger dexterity to operate.
