Cape Conran Coastal Park roofed accommodation

In early 2021, Parks Victoria invited the community to share their ideas and preferences for new accommodation at Cape Conran.

In the summer 2019/20 bushfires three cabins and all five wilderness retreats were destroyed at Cape Conran. The Victorian Government invested $3.5 million into replacing and upgrading the cabins and wilderness retreats. Community feedback was sought into the design of the new cabins, including how to enable year round visitation and what room layout was preferred. Through the engagement Parks Victoria learned that less bedrooms and more communal space was preferred and altered the designs accordingly.
