In 2020, Parks Victoria sought feedback from the community on the new toilet facility that was proposed in the popular Point Cook Homestead precinct. This feedback helped inform the final designs for the amenity to be submitted to Heritage Victoria for a work permit.

The amenities that were proposed were to accommodate current and future use of the precinct. The proposed design took into consideration the heritage nature of the site, design principles to address accessibility and safety as well as ongoing maintenance.

This project is part of a $1.5 million investment in the precinct that will include additional refurbishment, maintenance and upgrade works across the site.
