Improved campgrounds tracks and trails one step closer
Monday 31 October, 2022
New and upgraded campgrounds, walking trails and 4WD tracks are one step closer as we prepare to construct new facilities at more than 30 sites across Victoria.
As part of the Victoria’s Great Outdoors program, Parks Victoria has called for suitably qualified contractors to construct new and upgraded campgrounds, improve facilities and tracks for 4WDing and enhance a range of walking tracks.

Once complete, these new facilities will make it even easier for people to get into nature and enjoy the great outdoors.
Through the program, more Victorians are enjoying camping, with camping fees halved at all 131 bookable campgrounds across the state. By further improving campgrounds, tracks and trails, getting out into a park will be an even better experience.
Parks Victoria also now offers an improved online camping booking system so campers can enjoy better functionality, instant confirmation and advanced filtering to help them choose the perfect spot to stay.
The new and upgraded campgrounds, tracks and trails are expected to be completed throughout 2023 and 2024.
