The A E Corben Oval is situated in the middle of the Lower Loop Picnic Area in Yarra Bend Park. Containing a turf wicket, only authorised sporting clubs are permitted to use the infrastructure and associated formal sport fields.

Toilets, picnic tables, grassy areas, shade, playground, electric barbecues, canoe ramp, and drinking water are provided in the Lower Loop Picnic Area. Dogs are restricted during sporting events.

In the case of an emergency dial 000 for police, fire, and ambulance. If your network has no signal dial 112 to access any available network.

Upcoming temporary 1 day closure of Kanes Bridge in Kew/Fairfield -15 September 2025

Kanes Bridge (The suspension bridge that crosses the Yarra River at Studley Park Picnic Area in Kew and Corben Oval in Fairfield) will be temporarily closed for 1 day on September 15th 2025 for decking replacement works. Contractors will be onsite from 7am until 6pm.  During this time there will be no access across Kanes Bridge.

The bridge will be re-opened as soon as possible once decking works are completed.

Alternative routes to cross the Yarra River are available at Studley Park Road or the Pipe Bridge at Fairfield Park.

Parks Victoria apologises for any inconvenience.

Dickinson Reserve Playground Installation

From Wednesday 27th of August, a new playground will be installed in Dickinson Reserve, within Yarra Bend park.  During this time, visitors may experience restricted access to the playground and surrounding areas.  Installation is expected to take 2 - 3 weeks.
