Beeripmo Walk (MT COLE/BEERIPMO STATE FOREST, Mount Buangor National Park)
The 21 km return walk is a Grade 3 track that is usually completed over 2 days. The route includes occasional steps, short steep hills and some sections with limited signage, so bushwalking experience is recommended. Along the way, walkers pass granite outcrops, waterfalls, fern-lined gullies and diverse forest habitats. Beeripmo Campground marks the halfway point and provides an overnight stop for walkers completing the circuit.
Beeripmo Campground has toilets and fireplaces. An untreated rainwater tank is available but should not be relied on for drinking water, so carry all the water you need for the walk. Dogs on lead are permitted on Beeripmo Walk between sunrise and sunset. Dogs must be kept under immediate control. There are no rubbish bins, so please take all rubbish home. Campfires are only allowed in designated fireplaces where provided and when restrictions are not in place.
Beeripmo Walk is in the South West Fire District. Bushfire safety is a personal responsibility. For up to date information on bushfires in Victoria call the VicEmergency Hotline on 1800 226 226, download the VicEmergency app, visit www.emergency.vic.gov.au or tune into a local radio station. Check the forecast fire danger before leaving home. Consider not visiting forest or bushland on stormy days or days of high bushfire risk.
