Carrolls Spring Camping Area (WOMBAT STATE FOREST, Spargo Creek Regional Park)

Set on the banks of the Werribee River in Spargo Regional Park, Carrolls Spring Camping Area is a spacious open campground surrounded by native forest and abundant birdlife. The large grassy setting, combined with nearby river access and bushland surrounds, makes it an ideal destination for visitors seeking a peaceful camping experience in nature.

Carrolls Spring is home to its own mineral spring and provides access to the Werribee River Walk, a 4.5 km circuit walk that follows the river through the surrounding forest. The open campground can accommodate larger groups and camper trailers, while the nearby river and forest provide opportunities for bushwalking, wildlife watching and relaxing in a natural setting.

Facilities are limited. Only a small number of picnic tables are provided and there are no toilets. The campground is unpowered and suitable for tents, camper trailers and larger group camping. Dogs are permitted on lead. No bookings or fees apply. Drinking water is not available, so bring all the water you need for drinking, cooking and washing. There are no rubbish bins, so please take all rubbish home. Campfires are permitted if it is not a Total Fire Ban day and all relevant fire restrictions are observed.
