Cleve Cole Hut Camping Area (Alpine National Park, Bogong Remote and Natural Area)

Cleve Cole Hut and the adjacent camping area is a destination point for many hikers on their way to Mt Bogong in both in summer and winter. Located amongst stunted snow gums and grasslands in the Alpine National Park the hut was named after early skier Cleve Cole who died nearby in 1936 on a journey across the Bogong High Plains to Mt Bogong. There is ample camping space around the hut and water in nearby streams. Howman’s Falls is a spectacular side trip. Please help protect sensitive alpine vegetation by using fuel stoves only.
