Djerriwarrh Track (Long Forest Flora and Fauna Reserve)

Djerriwarrh Track – 3km return, 1.5 hours return

Grade 3 walking track – involves slopes, uneven surfaces and some steps and creek crossings.

Start at Djerriwarrh Track Trailhead on the east side of Long Forest Road. Walk east on Djerriwarrh Track down to a flat on Djerriwarrh Creek. Return via the same track.

Dogs, fires and camping are not permitted.

Visitor tips: There are no toilets or bins - please take your rubbish home. Walkers should wear sturdy footwear, a hat, sunscreen, clothing appropriate for the weather, and carry a map and sufficient water. There is no water provided in the reserve.

Long Forest FFR is in the Central fire district. Bushfire safety is a personal responsibility. Anyone entering parks and forests during the bushfire season needs to stay aware of forecast weather conditions. Check the Fire Danger Rating and for days of Total Fire Ban at www.emergency.vic.gov.au, on the VicEmergency smartphone app or call the VicEmergency Hotline on 1800 226 226.

Park Closed - Feral Animal Control Program

A feral animal control program using firearms will be occurring in Long Forest Flora and Fauna Reserve on 28th, 29th of April and 13th May 2025. These control works are being undertaken by accredited and authorised shooters.

For reasons of public safety, the park will be inaccessible during these dates. Signage will be placed at access points when control activities are occurring. For your own safety please observe the signage and do not enter any closed areas.
