Gary Smorgon Oval, known as Oval 9 is a football and cricket (turf wicket) oval and practice cricket nets. The oval is used during the winter and summer months for training, games and organised sports at specific times. At all other times the field is available for public use.

The sporting ground is a dog off leash area only when not being used for sporting activities or events.
