Goom Gooruduron - Yeran Camping Area (Sandhurst Reference Area, Greater Bendigo National Park)
This is a remote, walk-in camping area with no facilities. The maximum stay is one night only. No bookings or fees apply. Please bring everything you need for your stay, including drinking water, food and a portable camping stove. Toilet waste should be hiked out or buried at least 15cm deep and 100m away from water or dry creeks. All rubbish should be taken away with you. Campfires and firewood collection are prohibited.
Visitor Safety
Greater Bendigo National Park is in the Northern Country fire district. Bushfire safety is a personal responsibility. Do not camp here on days of higher fire danger or when storms are forecast. Trees and branches may fall at any time and swing away from the tree.
The park will be closed on days of Catastrophic fire danger. If you are already in the park, leave the night before or as early as possible in the morning. Download the VicEmergency app, visit www.emergency.vic.gov.au, call 1800 226 226 or tune into ABC Central Victoria on 91.1FM for the latest forecasts and warnings. In case of an emergency dial 000 or 112 (to access any available mobile network). However, this is a remote area and you may not get a mobile phone signal. In this case, seek assistance along Mandurang South Rd.
