Great South West Walk - Cobboboonee Camping Area to Fitzroy Camping Area (Cobboboonee National Park)

Stretching from Cobboboonee Camping Area to Fitzroy Camping Area, this stretch of the Great South West Walk meanders through tall eucalypt forest and sections of wet heath. The relatively flat walk provides plenty of opportunities to spot native birds, wildlife and in spring a spectacular display of wildflowers.

Great South West Walk Detours in place

The Great South West Walk between Boiler Swamp Road and Cut Out Dam Road in the Cobbonoonee National Park is closed due to destroyed bridges and hazardous trees.

Walkers should use Boiler Swamp Road, Fish Hole Road and Cut Out Dam Road as an alternate route for the closed section. 

Cut Out Camp remains open; however, the walking track is closed south of the camp.
