The Homestead Flat Camping Area is in the Wonnangatta Valley a remote and isolated area nestled amongst rugged and vast wilderness of the Alpine National Park. The valley is known as the site of the Wonnangatta Murders and features ruins from the homestead and cemetery.
Popular activities for visitors range from deer hunting to heritage appreciation and horse riding. Visitor facilities include pit toilets and picnic tables. Visitors need to be fully self-sufficient as food and fuel many hours’ drive away.
