Little River Walk (Cathedral Range State Park)
This is an easy Grade 3 walk of 2.7km which takes around 45 minutes one-way. The walks links Cooks Mill with Neds Gully Camping Area. Stop at Cooks Mill for a picnic or to explore to see remnants of a once-thriving timber mill that produced ships’ masts.
Restrictions: Please note this trail is for walkers only (no bicycles, pets or horses).
No bins or drinking water are provided. Please take your rubbish home for recycling or disposal and bring drinking water with you. Water from the creeks is not safe to drink and should be chemically treated or boiled for 20 minutes.
The area is heavily forested and we do not recommend riding on days of higher fire danger or when storms or strong winds are forecast. The Park is in the Central Fire District.

Upcoming roadworks and road closures - Cathedral Range State Park
- Little River Road will remain open during weekday roadworks, with traffic management in place - please expect delays.
- Cerberus Road will be fully closed to all users during weekday roadworks, including being closed to walkers. There will be no access via Cerberus Road to Jawbone Carpark, and there will be no access via Cerberus Road to Sugarloaf Saddle Carpark. Walkers will need to change their plans during the weekday closures to avoid routes that use Cerberus Road. Dates of this full closure will be published here once dates are known (subject to weather).
- Remaining campground availability has been restricted for weekdays during the last three weeks of June, to reduce impacts on campers. This campground availability will be re-released should dates for roadworks change. This will be published here once dates are known (subject to weather).
