The access tracks and campgrounds at Glasshouse campground, Pettmans Beach and Trident campground in the Lake Tyers State Park have been subject to severe weather which has resulted in the need to close these areas for public safety.

Glasshouse, Pettmans and Trident campgrounds are popular visitor areas that have been impacted by a reported 200mm of rain over the past week. This rain has caused access tracks and camping areas to be flooded and impassable in spots, making the area unsafe for visitors. Signage has been changed at the Main Entrance to the Lake Tyers State Park (LTSP) to indicate the temporary closure. This rain event has caused damage in other areas of the LTSP and the park requires an impact assessment. There is likely to be a number of trees down within the park also. The impact to the access tracks and camping areas is known as serious enough to restrict visitor access. A change of condition has been posted to the PV website.
