Lower Loop Picnic Area (Yarra Bend Park)

The Lower Loop Picnic Area can be accessed via Yarra Bend Rd and is adjacent to the Yarra Bend Golf Course. Corben Oval is situated in the middle of the picnic area. With plenty of open space and facilities for all, let the kids run free while you relax at the scenic location.

There are electric barbecues, shelters, toilets, drinking fountain and a playground, making it one of the park’s most popular picnic spots. On the opposite side, across the oval, there is a canoe ramp.

Open space and sporting fields are used for organised and informal sports including cricket, football and soccer.

In the case of an emergency dial 000 for police, fire, and ambulance. If your network has no signal dial 112 to access any available network.

Lower Loop Picnic Area - Toilets and barbecues out of order

The Lower Loop Picnic Area barbecues are out of order and the adjacent toilet block at Corben Oval is closed. This is due to an electrical supply problem that is expected to be reconnected by mid 2024.

The nearest toilets and barbecues are opposite at the Studley Park Picnic Area, accessed by foot across Kanes Bridge. There are other facilities at Westfield Picnic Area to the north on Yarra Bend Rd.

Parks Victoria apologises for any inconvenience.

Dickinson Reserve Playground Closed

The playground at Dickinson Reserve is closed due to safety concerns. The basket swing is still open for use.

The nearest playground with climbing structures, slides and swings is at Andrews Reserve, accessed from the Yarra Boulevard. Andrews Reserve is approximately 1 km from Dickinson Reserve.

Parks Victoria apologises for any inconvenience caused.
