The Mt Buffalo Office and Visitor centre is about 200m south of the turn off to the Chalet on the Mt Buffalo Tourist Road. Inside are informative displays about the parks natural and cultural history. Relevant maps and publications. Open most days 8.30am to 4.30pm but may be unstaffed for periods of the day. Park staff can be contacted on 13 19 63.

Reservoir Road is subject to seasonal road closure from the Thursday after the Kings Birthday long weekend to the Thursday before the Melbourne Cup long weekend inclusive.

Lake Catani Road Seasonal Closure

Lake Catani Road is subject to seasonal closure from the Thursday after the Kings Birthday long weekend to September 15 inclusive.
Lake Catani campground is open for walk-in camping only, no bookings required.

Horn Road Seasonal Closure

The Horn Road is subject to seasonal road closure from the Thursday after the Kings Birthday long weekend to September 15th inclusive.

Planned aerial shooting operations targeting deer

Control operations (aerial shooting) targeting deer are planned for this area.  During operations parts of the Park will be closed to visitors. More information on closures will be posted a minimum of 4 weeks prior to commencement. 
 
Visitors are advised to check the Change of conditions listing prior to arrival for up to date information and maps.
