Mt Sugarloaf Picnic Area (Kinglake National Park)

This picnic area is a great place to stop and admire the spectacular views towards Melbourne from the summit of Mt Sugarloaf. Located at the end of Mt Sugarloaf Road, it is accessible by car or on foot via the Mt Sugarloaf Ridge Walking Track.

No bins or drinking water are provided. Please bring your own drinking water and take all rubbish away for recycling or disposal. Please bring your own firewood or coals as firewood collection is prohibited in the Park.

Kinglake National Park is in the Central Fire District. Bushfire safety is a personal responsibility. Anyone entering parks and forests during the bushfire season needs to stay aware of forecast weather conditions. Check the Fire Danger Rating and for days of Total Fire Ban at emergency.vic.gov.au www.emergency.vic.gov.au, on the VicEmergency smartphone app or call the VicEmergency Hotline on 1800 226 226.

No fires may be lit on Total Fire Ban days.
