One Tree Hill Picnic Area and Lookout - Bendigo (Greater Bendigo National Park)

One Tree Hill is just seven kilometres from the centre of Bendigo and is a popular site for cyclists, runners and walkers to visit as part of their exercise program.

Visitors have access to a lookout underneath the fire tower which provides panoramic views across Bendigo and the surrounding countryside.

There are facilities for a picnic and access to various walking trails such as the grade 3 easy 3km Lookout Loop track or go for a longer walk along the Bendigo Bushland trail. Both tracks can be accessed from the Lookout tower car park.

Planned burn near Big Hill

Planned burning operations are scheduled in the Greater Bendigo National Park which will result in part of the park being closed from the time the burn is approved for ignition until the area is declared safe. 
 
Burn name:               LM-MGF-ING – 0466 – Big Hill High Level Track. Size: 68ha. Location: 1.5km SW of Big Hill   
Scheduled date:      Sunday 4 May – Sunday 11 May, subject to favourable weather conditions.
