Pyrenees Endurance Walk (Pyrenees Regional Park, ST ARNAUD - PYRENEES STATE FOREST, PYRENEES RANGE STATE FOREST, Pyrenees National Park )
The 18 km one-way walk is a Grade 4 track and is recommended for experienced bushwalkers. Allow two days to complete the hike, which starts at Waterfall Picnic Area and finishes near Glenlofty. The track includes steep sections, rough terrain, occasional steps and many obstacles. Camerons Track Campground marks the halfway point and provides an opportunity to camp overnight. Along the way, walkers may encounter kangaroos, koalas, bats, goannas and many of the more than 100 bird species recorded in the park.
Camerons Track Campground has toilets, picnic tables, fireplaces and a shelter. Dogs on lead are permitted at Camerons Track Campground. An untreated rainwater tank is available at the campground but should not be relied on, particularly during drier months, so carry all the water you need. No bookings or fees apply. There are no rubbish bins, so please take all rubbish home. Campfires are only allowed in designated fireplaces where provided and when restrictions are not in place.
