Change of Conditions

Nature being nature, sometimes conditions can change at short notice. It’s a good idea to check this page ahead of your visit for any updates.

Fire closure

Due to fires in the area, Snowy River National Park is closed until further notice, including all roads, walking tracks, campgrounds and day-visit sites within the park on the eastern and western side of Snowy River. The closure includes Snowy River, so visitors on kayaks and rafts travelling south from the NSW border are advised to leave the river at McKillops Bridge.
