Sale Common Nature Conservation Reserve - Tracks closed

The following tracks will be closed between 5 June 2024 and 20 August 2024 as part of the Trail Upgrade project:
  • South of Stephensons Street to Parks Victoria boardwalk – 410m.
  • Flooding Creek Track (Parks Victoria boardwalk to Latrobe river) - 4120m.

The Trail Upgrade project is the proposed refurbishment of the existing trail (Stephenson Street to boardwalk and Flooding Creek Track) and boardwalk (Stephenson Boardwalk) and the construction of a boardwalk (270 m x 2.5 m) at Flooding Creek, Sale, Victoria.

The project will upgrade paths, signs and aging infrastructure at the 310- ha site and link pathways to existing Lake Guthridge and Lake Guyatt pathways. The construction activities for the project will be located primarily on the eastern side of the Sale Common and is to include the following proposed works:
  • Installation of a new boardwalk across a section of the wetland;
  • Refurbishment of the existing trail and boardwalk;
  • Replacement of an existing boardwalk.
