Seasonal moorings
Mornington Peninsula is a popular holiday destination and a recreational boat user's paradise. To avoid getting stuck in queues at the boat ramps, book one of our environmentally-friendly seasonal moorings!
In the interest of safety and effective port management, Parks Victoria have made some significant changes this season. Please make sure to confirm the location of the seasonal mooring using the moorings interactive map to ensure you select the best mooring for you.
Seasonal Moorings available to book for the 2024-25 season are shown on the moorings interactive map in yellow and are: PV01, PV02, PV04, PV06, PV14, PV15, PV16, PV17, PV24, PV25, PV26, PV27, PV28, PV29, PV44, PV45, PV55.
Seasonal Moorings listed as "private" on the moorings interactive map will not be available to book this season.
The 2024-25 seasonal mooring season will commence on Saturday 30 November 2024 with the season ending on Sunday 27 April 2025.
Bookings for the 2024-25 season are now open.

Permit conditions
The mooring
• Mooring tackle is the property of Parks Victoria and must not be modified by seasonal mooring permit holders in any way. Parks Victoria has installed the seasonal moorings and therefore retains responsibility for the maintenance and serviceability of the mooring. Any deviation from the current configuration is not permitted.
• The permit or mooring is not transferable to another person or vessel.
The vessel
• Must be registered at all times in the name of the permit holder. No other vessel is to occupy the mooring without approval from Parks Victoria.
• Must be no longer than 7m in length and comply with the Marine Safety Act 2012.
• Must clearly display the vessel’s registration number and identification markings.
• Should be trailerable to allow removal in case of severe weather events.
• It is the permit holder’s responsibility to ensure that the vessel is inspected frequently and is maintained in a safe and seaworthy condition.
• The permit holder must not allow any person/s to reside on the registered vessel occupying the seasonal mooring.
Indemnity
• Parks Victoria does not warrant that the site (mooring or berth) is suitable for the vessel and is not liable in any way for any loss, damage, or liability suffered by the holder of this permit in relation to the Vessel, or as a result of any action taken by Parks Victoria to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the local port.
Failure to comply with the above conditions may result in the cancellation of the mooring permit.
