Belfast Coastal Reserve Management Plan

The Belfast Coastal Reserve Management Plan strikes a balance between protecting the environmental values of the reserve, while maintaining opportunities for recreation.

The plan was developed following extensive community engagement between March 2017 and March 2018, with a draft plan open for public comment from January to March 2018. More than 800 people participated in the consultation process, including local residents, visitors to the region, key stakeholders and members affiliated with stakeholder organisations.

There were more than 400 written submissions, 400 online surveys and 250 quick poll surveys completed during this process, with all feedback carefully considered in preparing the final management plan.

Submissions to the process can be made available upon request from engage@parks.vic.gov.au
