Plenty Gorge - Nioka Bush Camp
You can book the campground only, the campground with camp kitchen and hall, bunkhouse only or bunkhouse and campground. The bunkhouse comes with the camp kitchen.
Facilities include toilets, hot showers, hall, kitchen, bunked accommodation as well as a camping area for tents. It's a short walk to Hawkstowe Picnic Area with the historic Le Page Homestead as well as Morang Wetlands.
There is limited firewood available for the indoor wood heater. Firewood is not provided for the outdoor fireplace.
Bring your own bedding, crockery and cooking utensils.

Nioka Bush Camp is a fantastic group camping spot, which will make you feel far away from civilisation - even though you are just 20km north of Melbourne. Roofed accommodation, camp kitchen and hall are all available to book. Enjoy the beautiful Plenty River and awesome Plenty Gorge.

Plenty Gorge Park upgrades
A project is underway to create the new Plenty River Trail, upgrade the Hawkstowe Picnic Area and make improvements to Nioka Bush Camp, to offer visitors new and accessible experiences to walk, ride, play and stay in Plenty Gorge Park. Find out more about the Plenty Gorge Park upgrades project.

Yarrambat Picnic Ground (Plenty Gorge Parklands)
Restricted access to Yarrambat Park due to rabbit control measures
Areas of Yarrambat Park will be closed from 8pm to 6am from 6/2/25 to 30/4/25 due to active shooting, as part of rabbit control program. Temporary signage has been installed and will advise visitors of specific areas affected. -
Yellow Gum Recreation Area (Plenty Gorge Parklands)
Blue Green Algae detected in Blue Lake - Yellow Gum Recreation Area (Plenty Gorge Park)
Testing has confirmed the presence of Blue Green Algae in Blue Lake, Yellow Gum Recreation Area in the southern end of the Plenty Gorge Park.Contact with the water currently poses a health risk and visitors are advised not to swim, fish, touch the water until further notice.
