Banksia Park Picnic Area (Yarra Valley Parklands, Yarra River)

Enjoy a day out with the family and friends in this large picnic area, with a broad expanse of mown lawns with numerous large trees and surrounded by native vegetation. The park can be accessed from Templestowe Road, Bulleen. The Banksia Park Picnic Area is a popular location with visitors of all ages. The park is perfect for cyclists, joggers, walkers and those who enjoy a breath of fresh air.

The area has a picnic shelter and tables, playground, accessible toilets and drinking water. There are no bins. Please take all rubbish away for recycling or disposal.

Manor Loop Road Closure

The Westerfolds Manor Loop Road and car park is closed to vehicle traffic for the last 150m. Drivers can park at the adjacent car park 100m below the Manor.

Yarra Flats Toilets Closed

Toilets closed due to safety concerns.

Birrarung Park Playground removal

Birrarung Park Playground Closed

Due to significant age and ongoing safety concerns, the playground at Birrarung Park has been removed and the area returned to grassed parkland. The two swings have been retained and are available to use.

The nearest playground is located at Banksia Park, Bulleen
