Ground Shooting Operation - Lower Goulburn National Park

Please be advised that a proposed three-day Ground Shooting Operation targeting Large Herbivores and Small Predators will be conducted within the Lower Goulburn National Park (map attached of target areas - noting red polygons for exclusion zones such as Reedy Swamp and Munros).

This operation forms part of delivery of a 3-year Good Neighbour program aimed at reducing the impacts of Pigs and Foxes on neighbouring properties from the National Park.
This operation also contributes to the Protecting Biodiversity Program & Flood Recovery Program reducing the impacts on the environment from Large Herbivores.

The operation will be undertaken by authorised personnel from Monday 23rd to Wednesday 25th March 2026.
During such time, the Park and Camping Areas is advised as closed for Public Safety.

Outside of those dates, the Park will automatically reopen, even though signage may still be in place.

*Please note that Loch Garry is not apart of the National Park and will be Open to the Public during this time.

Closure signs will be in place on all major entry points into the Park with dates inclusive.

Please contact Parks Victoria on 13 19 63 if further information is required.
