Nature being nature, sometimes conditions can change at short notice. It’s a good idea to check this page ahead of your visit for any updates.

Track repair works along River Track

Parks Victoria is undertaking track repair works along River Track between Moira Lakes Road (North) and Barmah Creek (South). Works will commence on the 22nd of October and will take between 4-6 weeks. No access will be available during the works. Following completion of the northern section, the southern section will then be completed from Barmah Creek to Barmah Township. Works are scheduled to be completed prior to Christmas holiday period.

Tracks and water crossings that have become trafficable due to flooding

Some tracks within Barmah National Park have become un-trafficable to motorised vehicles due to flooding.

Please note that management vehicle only tracks have not been considered in this update because they are not open for public access by motorised vehicles.

Tracks affected, typically open to the public include:
·        Newmans Trak  
·        Four Mile Track 
·        Long Plain Track (Part) 
·        Sapling Landing Track 
·        Double Crossing Track (Part)
·        Gowers Track
·        McDonalds Track
·        Short Cut Track

Please DO NOT drive through flood water and take care on all tracks during wet conditions and avoid using wet tracks whenever possible, for your safety and to prevent damage to tracks.
