Rotamah Island is a bushland delight accessible by boat only. Enjoy a relaxing picnic or BBQ by the lake at the picnic area or explore further one of the short walks (up to 1.5hours return) or do the whole loop of the island (3 hours return). Visitors are advised the homestead is not open to the public.

Little Rotamah Track closed until further notice

Little Rotamah Track including all boardwalks and bridges is closed from 29 August 2023 until further notice due to safety.

Ground shooting operations targeting deer

Control operations (ground shooting) targeting deer are undertaken in this area.  The Park will remain open to visitors during operations.

Trapper Point Jetty Closure

Trapper Jetty in the Lakes National Park is closed indefinitely. This follows an assessment by engineers that has deemed the structure unsafe.
This asset is not available for the general public to use when open. 

Ground shooting operations targeting feral goats

Feral goat control (ground shooting) will be undertaken in areas of the Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park and Lake Coleman Wildlife Reserve.

The Park will remain open to visitors during operations.
