Taroona Reserve provides access to the Warrandyte township river walk.
This reserve is one of 3 sites within the Warrandyte State Park where dogs are permitted. Please ensure you pick up after your dog.
Camping and fires are not permitted.

Assistance dogs are welcome in Parks Victoria parks and reserves. Entry requirements apply for parks and reserves that are usually dog prohibited, such as national parks.

Deer Control in Warrandyte State Park and Warrandyte Kinglake Nature Conservation Reserve

Deer control works will be taking place in a number of locations within the Warrandyte landscape. These include: Jumping Creek Reserve, Mt Lofty Reserve, Pound Bend Reserve, Fourth Hill, The Common (Warrandyte State Park), Overbank Rd/Gaybrooke Block, Glynns Reserve (Yarra Valley Parklands) and the Yanakie Block, One Tree Hill and Rifle Range Reserve (Warrandyte-Kinglake Nature Conservation Reserve). 
This program will be conducted by professional contract shooters and will operate between the 15th of July and 29th of November 2024, avoiding peak holiday times. The program will be conducted in the areas highlighted on the attached map.
The affected areas within the park/reserve will be closed between the hours of 4pm and 6am during nights of control.  Signs will be displayed at all official entrance points to the park/reserve when shooting is in progress. Please do not enter the park/reserve  when closure signs are displayed.
